Parks we have visited in NSW!

So...how to keep these little guys busy when the lovely preschool teachers aren't around. Yes, I said lovely preschool teachers, because they are, and because I live in Australia. Same thing is true for favourite and organisation, this silly computer doesn't let me type in standard American anymore. Might as well embrace it! Speaking of embracing it lets get back to parks. So my favourite park is one that has a gate, a gate to get in, a gate to get out a nice chain link fence to surround it, and a lock. Not the key kind, but the kind that little hands can't reach! Those are all the rage in the US, but not so much here. I used to have tennis courts I could lock them up in, or open fields with fences. Not so much here. On one side there is the ocean or the street or the bush, I mean woods, or forest or open space where animals are free to roam and on the other side...the park. The great thing is Australia has tons of them, and they are awesome...except for the gate, fence, and lock part.

First let start with Jamberoo - We call this park "track and field". It has a play area where the kids can swing. It has a climbing structure with rubber padding underneath. Its off to the side so there is plenty of room to run the kids down before they get to the street. And it has a big open field. My favourite thing to do is put my husband on one side of the field and I get on the other. We then coax the kids to run from one of us to the next until they are so tired that they collapse in the grass. This way we know we will have a calm and uneventful trip home. Besides, they could be track stars one day, you never know!

Perfect for younger children 2-6
