And no...I am not talking about the playground. I am talking about actual zoos (is that how you say more than one zoo, zoos? Guess I will have to google that). What better way to keep the kids occupied than going to the zoo. It is an education opportunity, they have guides that love to talk about animals, they are kid friendly, and they have cages built in. Just kidding! There is usually lots to do, and you can let the kids out of the stroller, I mean the pram. They love looking for the animals and you can almost walk quietly behind them...well that's just until you have to yell and grab them before they climb into the hyena enclosure.
National Zoo and Aquarium (Canberra, ACT)
Great zoo! Awesome animal enclosures, with lots of space. Awesome play area for children, with large life sized animal statues to climb on, slides, swings and other climbing structures. Small aquarium attached where there are aquatic animals, fish mostly, but also some reptiles and even an occasional mammal.
